During an earnings report conference call, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon provided strong indications that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series will feature a combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets.

Amon suggested that Qualcomm is poised to hold the majority market share for the Galaxy S24 series, which is set to launch soon. This lends credence to previous reports that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will exclusively employ the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, regardless of the market. While Amon did not delve into further details, his statement serves as a semi-official confirmation of these reports.

This strategic move makes logical sense, especially considering that the Galaxy S Ultra typically represents the highest-grossing model within the S series. Furthermore, recent reports have hinted that North American variants of the Galaxy S24 will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In contrast, it is suggested that only the Korean and European editions of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will feature the Exynos 2400 chipset.

Samsung has also provided a teaser regarding the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s cutting-edge ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace technology, which will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This further supports the notion that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will remain exclusive to the Snapdragon chipset, solidifying Qualcomm’s dominant role in Samsung’s upcoming flagship lineup.
