Samsung debuts new design language with the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71
Samsung has just announced the new Samsung Galaxy A51 and Samsung Galaxy A71, spearheading the Galaxy A (2020) series. And yes, the design does seem pretty similar to what the Samsung Galaxy S11 is rumored to feature, i.e. huge rectangular camera hump.
HONOR launched the HONOR V30 earlier with a similar design, although Samsung arguably makes better use of the space with a quad-camera setup arranged in a L-shape for both the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71.

Samsung equipped the Samsung Galaxy A51 with a 48MP f/2.0 primary camera, and the Galaxy A71 with a 64MP f/1.8 one, but aside from that, they share a similar camera setup. You get the same 5MP f/2.4 macro camera, same 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle shooter and the same 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor on the both of them. Don’t ask me why the depth sensor sports a wider aperture than the macro camera. Oh and both of them have a 32MP selfie camera.

For some reason, Samsung seems to like the centered punch-hole design they first used for the Galaxy Note10 series. It’s back here again on both the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51. The Galaxy A71 sees a larger 6.7″ FHD+ Super AMOLED panel, while the Galaxy A51 packs a smaller 6.5″ FHD+ display.

Pokdepinion: Chipset wise you won’t be getting an upgrade from the Galaxy A50s, but the quad-camera setup might be worth considering.
