The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was rumored to launch sometime this year but was then allegedly pushed back to early 2022 due to chip-related issues, likely due to the global supply shortage. Now, it looks like it’s gearing up for release as marketing materials for it have leaked online, revealing key specification of the new smartphone.

Marketing materials for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE have been leaked online, giving us a clear look at the device as well as some key specifications of it. It looks like it’s going to sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with a center punchhole cutout, 6GB RAM, and a triple camera system on the rear.

The triple camera system itself appears to be a 64MP main sensor (wide-angle), along with an ultrawide and depth sensor. This means that it will be lacking a telephoto camera so no optical zoom here. The selfie camera itself will be a 32MP wide-angle sensor. For security, you will be getting an in-display fingerprint scanner.

As for the SoC, it will be powered by either the Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100 depending on the market, and if they plan on releasing multiple variants in the same market, like how there’s 4G and 5G variants of its predecessor, the S20 FE. The battery being used here is a healthy 4,500mAh capacity, and it supports 15W charging.

For now, we’re expected to see this smartphone launch sometime in January 2022, likely a month before the launch of the new Galaxy S22 series. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: It’s shaping up to be a solid value-oriented smartphone but given that it’s launching very close to the Galaxy S22 series, I have a feeling it will be much more affordable than before. This is just speculation on my end so don’t take it as fact.
