Looking for a feature-packed, value-for-money smartphone? You now have a new option in the Snapdragon 865-powered Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE. While we did have one before, this one is actually a 4G-only version, which makes it even more interesting.

As we have reported before, there is a new variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE, which will be running on the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and now, it’s available in Malaysia. It is the first Snapdragon 865 device that is 4G-only as all the other devices using the same chipset has 5G support.

This Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE is using the model number G780 according to the ecommerce listing, and it will be the 3rd variant being offered. The other two variants, which were already available for a while now, is the 5G-capable Snapdragon 865 version and the 4G-only Exynos 990 version.

For those of you who aren’t aware, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE is using a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage with expandable storage (microSD), 4500mAh battery, 25W fast charging support, stereo speakers, under-display fingerprint reader, IP68, and wireless charging support. As for cameras, it has a 32MP selfie camera and a triple camera setup consisting of a 12MP wide angle camera, 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE variant will be retailing for RM2,299 and it has a memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. You will have the choice of 3 colours; Blue, Orange, and Violet. If you want to go all out, you can opt for the 5G version, which comes with the larger 256GB storage, for just RM2,999.

Pokdepinion: With 5G availability still scarce, I would recommend people save up and get the 4G-only version. It makes more sense financially at the moment, and it’s a pretty solid device as is.
