vivo Malaysia has officially launched the vivo V60 mid-range smartphone under the brand’s V series banner, and as before, camera and style is among the key selling points. It’s also the latest one in its lineage to receive ZEISS co-engineering treatment, in particularly featuring a 10x telephoto zoom lens (5x optical), while a new color is introduced: Berry Purple.

So, camera specs: the vivo V60’s rear imaging system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766 1/1.56″ sensor with OIS (lens aperture f/1.88), while the 50MP periscope telephoto camera comes with Sony IMX882 inside with 5x optical zoom with f/2.65 aperture. Outside of the camera bump, there’s the 8MP ultrawide camera with 120° (±3°) FOV, along with the ring-shaped Aura Light acting as the camera flash. A single 50MP front camera completes the phone’s camera setup.

The device’s design includes a narrow bezel curved display with rounded edges to improve ergonomics, while its durability prowess comes courtesy of Diamond Shield Glass with an internal cushioning structure for improved drop protection. It’s also IP68/IP69 rated, and vivo also claimed it can withstand a 24-hour rain – not that anyone is willing to try it, but the ingress rating should vouch for that.

The vivo V60 continues the use of high-density batteries, in this case a 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery with 90W fast charging, along with bypass charging mode – useful if you game often. Speaking of which, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, all of which the company claims it can run 90Hz constantly on games like MLBB. The 6.77-inch 120Hz display is HDR10+ certified with peak brightness up to 5000 nits, as well as a full-screen max brightness of 1500 nits.

You have three colors to pick, which includes Berry Purple, Mist Gray, and Summer Blue – the latter of which won’t be available for the online-exclusive model. vivo also promises 4 operating system updates and 6 years of security updates.

Pokdepinion: Honestly the camera setup is getting close to flagship-grade stuffs.
