vivo is entering the flip-style foldable phone market with its first entry, the vivo X Flip, as confirmed by its recent Google Play certification. The name is in line with vivo’s naming logic, with the X Fold being its other line of foldables. The vivo X Flip will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip4 and Oppo’s Find N2 Flip.

The vivo X Flip is said to sport a 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz internal screen, a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 4,400mAh battery. Additionally, the device was recently spotted in the Geekbench online database, powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. The phone is expected to launch in China in April.

The phone’s recent 3C certification also revealed that it will support 44W fast charging. With these features, the vivo X Flip is poised to give tough competition to other foldable phones in the market.

The vivo X Flip’s name may not be surprising, but the phone’s expected features and specifications are still exciting. Stay tuned for official news and announcements from vivo as the launch date approaches.

Pokdepinion: While we know of the internal display, I want to know how big is the cover display. If that covers the entire outer half, or even close to it, then it will surely attract a lot of people. I just hope the 4,400mAh battery can last long.
