The HONOR Pad 20 Series is now official in Malaysia, comprising the HONOR Pad 20 and HONOR Pad 20 Pro tablets; the Pro variant also marks the debut of a “Paperlike Display”, featuring an anti-glare matte finish designed to replicate a pen-on-paper feel for writing and reading.
New HONOR Pad 20 Series Tablets
Despite what the model name may suggest, both models actually feature identical chassis features. Both are equipped with 12.1-inch 3K (3000 x 1872) IPS panel, though refresh rate differs (120Hz vs 165Hz). HONOR boasts six eye-comfort technologies (hardware-level low blue light, DC Dimming, Dynamic Dimming, AI Circadian Night Display, Nature Tone Display and AI Defocus Display) onboard this tablet, along with Motion Sickness Relief and TÜV Rheinland certifications.
The same chassis on both fits the same 10,100mAh battery, and here are the claimed figures: up to 71 days of standby time, 12 hours of video playback, 7 hours of gaming, 8 hours of note-taking, 13 hours of reading, and 56 hours of music. The difference comes down to charging – standard model supports 45W, while the Pro model goes up to 66W. They’re also equally-equipped audio-wise, with a six-speaker system featuring DTS:X Ultra.
Chipset is where both models diverge quite significantly – the HONOR Pad 20 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the HONOR Pad 20 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Our past benchmarks suggests that the Pro’s chipset is at least twice as fast over the standard model’s SD7 Gen 3, so the performance discrepancies in normal use is likely noticeable in practice. Note that the Pro model is Wi-Fi-only (with Wi-Fi 7 support), while the standard is offered in both Wi-Fi and 5G versions.
Price & Availability
The HONOR Pad 20 Pro (8+256GB) is priced at RM2,499; the HONOR Pad 20 in Wi-Fi version (6+256GB) is priced at RM1,999, while the 5G version (8+256GB) is priced at RM2,299. The tablets are available through HONOR Malaysia’s official online store, HONOR’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, and authorized partners; the cellular version of HONOR Pad 20 is also available through CelcomDigi and Maxis.
