Huawei is set to launch the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X tablet and HUAWEI WATCH D2 smartwatch in Malaysia on 19 November 2024, with pre-orders now open – though prices are still unannounced at this time.
HUAWEI MatePad 12 X & WATCH D2

The first product of the two launching next week is the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X, which provides a PC-like experience with the WPS Office suite, a Smart Magnetic Keyboard, HUAWEI M-Pencil support, and 10,100mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge capabilities. The 12-inch display comes with 3K resolution (specifically, 2880×1840) and peaks at 1000 nits, while internally it is powered by the company’s in-house Kirin T90A chip with 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and HarmonyOS 4.2 support.

Next up is HUAWEI WATCH D2, which offers 24-hour blood pressure monitoring through the HUAWEI TruSense system, and it is the first wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure monitoring device approved by both the NMPA (China’s medical regulatory agency) and MDR (Europe’s regulation for medical devices). A few things the smartwatch can track includes ECG, SpO2, heart rate, stress, and skin temperature. It is available in Black and Gold, and is compatible with iOS and Android and includes over 80 exercise modes, along with daily fitness, diet, sleep, and stress tracking.
Starting today, customers can secure the MatePad 12 X with a RM100 deposit on the Huawei Official Website, with free gifts valued at up to RM2,425; whereas pre-orders of the WATCH D2 come with free gifts valued at up to RM1,276, including FreeBuds Pro 2, HUAWEI Scale 3, an additional strap, two years of warranty, and accidental damage protection.
Pokdepinion: Let’s hope the pricing will be good for both.
