Samsung’s “Samsung for Education” program is expanding its reach across Southeast Asia and Oceania regions, bringing Galaxy devices, AI-powered classroom tools and educator development programs to schools at various stages of digital adoption.
Samsung for Education Offers AI Classroom Tools To Schools

Classrooms under the program in Malaysia are fitted with Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ tablets for students, AI training resources and smartboards for teachers, along with air conditioning systems to provide a comfortable learning setting. Pilot schools include SMK Nilai Impian in Negeri Sembilan and SMKA Naim Lil Banat in Kelantan, both of which now have access to Ace-it, an AI-powered digital learning platform featuring curriculum-aligned notes, interactive tools and an AI assistant.
Teachers at pilot schools have noted that the technology helps students visualize complex scientific concepts that traditional textbooks struggle to convey, while students say the Galaxy Tab reduces the burden of carrying physical textbooks and supports independent learning through personalized AI explanations.
In July 2026, Samsung signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Yayasan Didik Negara (YDN), a local education foundation, to further advance digital education in Malaysia. Planned initiatives under this collaboration include Samsung AI Classroom showcases, STEM and AI-focused engagements, and student innovation programs that offer hands-on exposure to emerging technologies.
Samsung for Education supports schools through different stages of digital adoption. The Samsung School initiative provides structured guidance and resources for institutions establishing their digital foundations, while schools that demonstrate sustained meaningful use of technology are recognized as Samsung Digital Lighthouse Schools. Teachers can also access the Samsung Learning Hub, which offers online training, teaching resources and certifications to build digital competency.
In Indonesia, Samsung for Education is backing ImajiNation 2026, described as the country’s first nationwide Visual Coding Championship. Launched by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and Assemblr EDU, the program targets more than 11,000 participants across 2,000 schools. Samsung is contributing through weekly enablement sessions, with the Grand Final scheduled for October 2026.
Samsung for Education also launched in the Philippines earlier in 2026, bringing Galaxy devices, Samsung Knox device management, Samsung Learning Hub and education resources to schools adopting digital tools.

Inside the classroom, Galaxy tablets support students with digital learning and access to resources, while the EDLA-certified WAF Interactive Display provides seamless connectivity to services such as Google Classroom and Google Drive. The display also supports features like Samsung AI Assistant for generating summaries and quizzes, as well as Live Transcript, which converts spoken instructions into on-screen text in real time.
Samsung Knox handles security and device management across connected school devices, helping institutions maintain secure digital learning environments. Beyond the classroom, Samsung’s wider portfolio covers SMART Signage and LED signage for campus-wide information sharing, as well as air-conditioning solutions for managing classroom comfort.
Pokdepinion: Samsung handing out Galaxy Tabs in schools is great, but here’s hoping the Wi-Fi holds up better than most school networks.
