Acer has introduced its new Vero projectors, the HL6810 and HL6810ATV, which aim to enhance home entertainment with minimal environmental impact. Both models feature 4K UHD resolution and 4,000 ANSI lumens brightness, supported by a laser/LED hybrid light source. The HL6810ATV also includes an embedded Android TV dongle which gives users instant access to popular streaming services.

The Vero sub-brand is aimed at sustainability, so it’s natural that the Vero projectors are designed with this in mind. They boast a 30,000-hour lifespan and uses mercury-free light sources, while their chassis incorporates 50% post-consumer recycled plastic, with the packaging made from recycled paper. On the energy efficiency fronts, both is claimed to save up to 48% power compared to traditional lamp-based projectors.

Aside from 4K resolution, these projectors offer a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1, 105% Rec.709 color gamut support, and HDR10/HLG compatibility. There’s also Acer’s Football mode for enhanced sports viewing, as well as support for 3D cinematic experiences via Blu-ray 3D. The lens supports 1.3x zoom as well as keystone correction for better flexibility in space-constrained environments. Both are IP5X-rated, which protects the devices against dust.

No local availability information has been announced thus far – EMEA customers will be able to purchase the new lineup starting in June this year, starting from EUR 1,599.

Pokdepinion: Eco-friendliness aside, the specs looks pretty capable.
