Participants from over 50 countries submitted more than 300 entries, presenting ideas for apps and services aimed at improving the gaming category on webOS-powered LG Smart TVs. The finalists showcased their concepts to a panel of LG executives and representatives from over 300 market-leading companies.

The top three winners – Couchplay, Lukas Klingsbo, and TV Games respectively – received the opportunity to collaborate with LG to further develop their solutions, with plans to integrate the family-oriented gaming services into LG Smart TVs by June 2025. Additionally, they were awarded cash prizes, with the first-place recipient earning $100,000, second place receiving $80,000, and third place securing $50,000.

“The amount of participation and entries we received this year is proof of the growing interest in the AI and gaming categories,” said Chris Jo, SVP of platform business at LG Home Entertainment Company. “We’re no longer simply watching television. The developer ecosystem’s role in improving the lives of millions of consumers in their homes is exponential, and LG plans to hold this event annually to foster webOS app developer ecosystem.”
