Honor of Kings has revealed key details for the 2024 Honor of Kings Championship, which began on October 12 at MGP Space in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament features 16 of the world’s best teams, competing for a share of a $1 million prize pool, with $300,000 awarded to the winning team.

The event starts with a group stage format where teams will face off in best-of-three matches – top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, scheduled to begin on October 18. The knockout stage will use a best-of-five double-elimination format, leading to the grand finals on October 27, which will be a best-of-seven series. In conjunction with the tournament, players can engage with the event by tuning into the livestream through Honor of Kings’ in-game TV feature. Additionally, they have the opportunity to unlock all available heroes and skins by completing specific in-game tasks and missions throughout the event.

Honor of Kings has also launched its first virtual observer for the Championship, Yuhuan – Stellar Songstress, who will accompany players throughout the event; this hero is set to be featured in virtual performances along with Princess Frost – Celestial Concert and Mulan-Starsinger as well. Another new addition is the Zhou Yu – Eclipse Blaze skin, which features phoenix-inspired design with special armor and flame effects.
