Garmin Descent Mk2S Launched In Malaysia At RM4,799

Garmin Malaysia has introduced their latest suite of dive products in the form of the Garmin Descent Mk2S.

It comes with a 1.2-inch colour sunlight-readable sapphire display, a 43mm watch case as well as interchangeable QuickFit bands in silicone, leather, metal, and nylon.

The Descent Mk2S supports multiple dive modes for single and multiple gas dives (including air, nitrox, trimix, and up to 100% O2), gauge, apnea, apnea hunt, and closed-circuit rebreather. It also features an underwater 3-axis compass and displays depth, dive time, temperature, NDL/TTS, ascent/descent rates, gas mix, PO2, N2 loading, decompression/safety stop information, time-of-day, and more.

With the watch, it features the new sonar-based SubWave technology, which set the standard for extended range and reliability for the diving community. Put aside diving, the Descent Mk2S doubles as a premium multisport GPS smartwatch with multi-GNSS support and wrist-based heart rate monitoring.

In addition to that, there’s smartwatch features such as notifications for calls, texts, and calendar alerts to name a few. In terms of battery life, they have said that it can last up to seven days in smartwatch mode and up to 30 hours in dive mode. You can store and review dive data for up to 200 dive on the watch and view them all on the companion Garmin Dive app which provides you of all the analysis from each dive.
