Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch4 series takes health and fitness data tracking to new heights, with a pioneering 3-in-1 BioActive Sensor that runs strong health sensors on a single chip, including measuring blood oxygen levels and, for the first time, calculating body composition.

Sleep analysis is now available on the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Series. The Galaxy Watch4 monitors your snoring and breathing patterns, allowing you to make more educated sleep decisions that will help you sleep longer and better. Your snores are detected by the Samsung Health App on your smartphone, and your blood oxygen levels are checked every second by the Watch4. This information is used to calculate your overall sleep score.

The body composition measurement function on the Galaxy Watch4 delivers a technology more often found in smart scales at the gym or at the clinic to your wrists for the first time in a Galaxy Watch. Bioelectrical Impedence Analysis (BIA), which gathers 2,400 data points and delivers results in roughly 15 seconds, makes this possible. The Galaxy Watch4’s BIA values are as accurate as those obtained from dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans, with a correlation of 98%.

We’ve improved the smartwatch and Galaxy experience by adding enhanced sleep and body composition tracking. When you pair the Galaxy Buds2 with your Galaxy devices, you can instantly move from listening to music on your tablet to taking a call on your smartphone with Auto Switch, as your earphones switch audio between your devices based on usage. Buds Controller allows you to easily access and control your earphones via the Galaxy Watch4 series, switching between Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient sound mode with a simple tap on your wrist.

With popular Google apps like Google Maps and Galaxy services like Samsung Pay, SmartThings, and Bixby, the new Wear OS Powered by the Samsung platform allows you to tap into an immense world straight from your wrist. It also works with third-party apps from Google Play, such as Adidas Running, Calm, Strava, and Spotify.

Pokdepinion: I’m actually pretty okay with the retail prices of the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Series. They’re not too crazy looking IMHO. Also, I’m pretty interested to see how Samsung’s partnership with Google on the new Wear OS is going to end up.
