Shortly after the global release of the game, Level Infinite has announced details for the Honor of Kings Invitational S2 tournament at Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur, running from June 29 to July 7. All matches will be streamed live via HoK Global Esports page on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, as well as the game’s official website and the in-game live TV.
Honor Of Kings Invitational S2: Rundown
All 13 teams qualified for this mid-season tournament will be competing for $300,000 USD prize pool, and the top 8 teams will secure themselves a spot for the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason in the Esports World Cup at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (set at Week 5 of the EWC, Aug 1-4). These teams spans across regions from Southeast Asia, Brazil, Turkey, MENA (Middle East and Northern Africa), and LATAM (Latin America), and Malaysia are represented in two teams: LGD Gaming and Team Secret.
The tournament kicks off with a 4-day group stage starting from June 29, where the two local teams will compete against two other teams in their respective groups; from here on, two teams from each group punch their ticket to playoff stage from July 4 onwards. All match days will begin from 15:00 MYT, with the exception of Finals, which starts at 18:00 MYT. The winning team of this tournament will take home $100,000 USD worth of prizes.
