PUBG MOBILE to be featured in 2022 Asian Games as a medal event
Nailing home the point that esports is an actual sport, the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China has added PUBG MOBILE as one of the eight games that will be played in the official esports program. The other games that will be played include Arena of Valor Asian Games Version, DOTA 2, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, EA SPORTS FIFA, Hearthstone, League of Legends and Street Fighter V.

Starting in the 2018 Asian Games, esports has been represented as a demonstration sport. Finally in 2022, esports will be a part of the official program and as a medal event. What this means is that players will be competing in PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version to win gold, leaving their mark in the scene as some of the top players in the game.
The Asian Games is a multi-sport event where Asia’s best athletes compete, and it is recognized by the International Olympics Committee as the second-largest event of its kind, after the Olympics.
