The Taiwan Excellence Esports Cup (TEEC) is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade (MOEA), and we Malaysians stand a chance to bring the Malaysian flag to the international stage at the grand finale in Taiwan. The TEEC shows Taiwan’s dedication to bring out the best in the competitive esports scene, just as Malaysia prepares itself for the upcoming SEA Games 2019 in the Phillipines where the first-ever esports medal will be up for grabs.

The tournament is supported by renowned Taiwanese brands like ASUS, MSI, Acer, ADATA, Gigabyte, InWin, TeamGroup, Thermaltake, Transcend and ZADAK. TEEC aims to strengthen the ties between Taiwan and Malaysia, all while furthering MDEC’s #HealthyGaming initiative.

With a prize pool worth RM113 000, the TEEC will see at least 10 000 participants from across Malaysia, with the winning teams getting to fly to Taiwan to compete on the grand stage. Games such as Dota2, League of Legends, CS:GO, PES 2019, Super Smash Bros, Mobile Legends, and Tekken 7. They will compete under different categories including mobile, console and PC.

The final happening in Malaysia will be happening in Berjaya Times Square Mall this 11th to 13th October, so stay tuned for more updates about TEEC!
