Original Voice Actress Might Not Reprise Role in Bayonetta 3

PlatinumGames have been rather quiet about Bayonetta 3 for some time now. Many gamers expected to see more of it at E3 2021 but unfortunately, that’s not the case. Now, we’ve learned more about the game’s development, but you might not be happy about it.

Bayonetta voice actress Hellena Taylor recently tweeted about being grateful to her fans, particularly in relation to the game. As this seemingly came from out of nowhere, it may be a hint that she might not reprise her role in Bayonetta 3.

When a fan tweeted back at her saying that they “can’t imagine the series without her voice”, Hellena simply responded with “well you might have to.” However, when another fan asked for further clarifications on the matter, she said that she is “not at liberty to say.”

For those of you who aren’t aware, Hellena Taylor has been part of the Bayonetta franchise since its inception, voicing the titular character. As such, many gamers expected her to reprise her role in Bayonetta 3. Given what has been mentioned on Twitter and the fact that PlatinumGames have not confirmed her involvement in the game, it appears that we may get a new voice actress.

Bayonetta 3 will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch, but no release date has been announced yet. We will be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: It would be very odd for them to suddenly cast a new voice actress for the character, especially given how iconic the voice is right now. Well, nothing has been confirmed yet so we will just have to wait and see.
