Genshin Impact 1.6 Leak Reveals Ayaka, Kazuha, and Yoimiya Banner Release Date

The latest big update for Genshin Impact is 2.0, which added a portion of the Inazuma region to the game. There were also a ton of new content, including the likes of Ayaka, Sayu, and Yoimiya,, though the latter two will be arriving a little later on. In the case of the former however, her story quest has made many gamers emotional, and here’s why.

Genshin Impact: Ayaka Story Quest Explanation

Ayaka Story Quest in Genshin Impact Made Gamers Emotional

Given that Kamisato Ayaka is a new character in the game, it’s natural to have a story quest for her. There have been plenty of theories surrounding the character but this particular explanation has made plenty of gamers emotional.

First opined by Reddit user u/Ecthelien who claimed to have learned more after browsing through Chinese forums. As you might have suspected by playing the game, Ayaka has feelings for the Traveler. Unfortunately, as emphasized in the Prayer Plaques scene, the Traveler is solely focused on reuniting with their sibling, resulting in Ayaka believing that they are not destined to be together.

In the famous farewell dance after, Ayaka asked the Traveler to keep their eyes on her so they can remember her when they return to their journey of reuniting with their sibling. It ends with Ayaka saying “I can see myself the rest of the way back.”

It does seem to indicate it as a date of sorts, showing Ayaka’s feeling for the Traveler, unrequited love, and more. It’s not the first time we’ve seen such a melancholic story in Genshin Impact but it sure doesn’t make it any less of an emotional scene.

Genshin Impact is currently available for free on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and PC. A Nintendo Switch port of the game coming in the near future.

Pokdepinion: Personally, I didn’t pay too much mind to it but perhaps I’m a little lacking in that area. How did you feel about it?
