Don’t Use Cyberpunk 2077 Mods Says CD Projekt Red
It was just recently that CD Projekt Red brought official mods support for Cyberpunk 2077 but it appears that the company is hoping that players will stop using them, at least for now.
Avoid using Cyberpunk 2077 mods says CD Projekt Red
If you plan to use @CyberpunkGame mods/custom saves on PC, use caution. We've been made aware of a vulnerability in external DLL files the game uses which can be used to execute code on PCs. Issue will be fixed ASAP. For now, please refrain from using files from unknown sources.

The news was revealed at Twitter where the official CD Projekt Red customer support account tweeted on the matter saying “We’ve been made aware of a vulnerability in external DLL files the game uses which can be used to execute code on PCs. For now, please refrain from using files from unknown sources”.
They’ve said that a fix will roll out as soon as possible. Seeing how the game has gotten mixed feelings since its launch, this doesn’t seem like the ideal situation for the game.
Seeing how multiplayer support for Cyberpunk 2077 is still far away from now, it is understandable that gamers will look at mods to extend the lifespan of the game. That being said, it would be wise if you avoid them for the time being or at least they’ve managed to solve the problem.
