Genshin Impact 6-Star Characters Rumor Debunked

Previously, there were rumors of miHoYo supposedly developing 6-star characters for Genshin Impact. The basis of the rumor stems from a red character background, which a leaker allegedly claims it to be for 6-star characters. Given how you don’t see it previously, gamers started to wonder if it is real.

We can safely debunk this rumor, thanks to the help of another popular leaker, abc64. This red background is simply used for Aloy and nothing more. This will be for the Horizon Zero Dawn crossover special event. There is a chance they might keep this red background for future guest characters from other collaborations but for now, it’s definitely not for 6-star characters.

Given the sheer amount of 5-star characters there are in the game, adding 6-star characters will definitely make a lot of people angry. This is especially the case for those who have spent good money to get their hands on specific 5-star banners. It would be highly unlikely that miHoYo would take such a big risk when their game is very successful at the moment.

Genshin Impact is currently available for free on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and PC. A Nintendo Switch port of the game coming in the near future.

Pokdepinion: I wouldn’t say it will never happen, but if it does, it will happen much later in the game’s lifespan. Doing it so soon makes very little sense, especially since this type of thing could spark huge interest in the game, which can be better served to reignite passion for the game.
