Minecraft is one of the most popular games to date with 238 million copies sold, and has since given years’ worth of updates, mods and everything in between. Players has been using the game to create some pretty exquisite landscapes – but what if all you need to do is to tell the game to build for you?

The feature is currently demoed by Microsoft internally – with capabilities such as the ability to understand natural language from players, who can tell it to build the world as they like. It’s not the same underlying Prometheus Model that runs the Bing AI though, and the company says there’s no immediate plans in releasing the feature into public builds of the game.

Microsoft’s attempts here isn’t new – in fact, OpenAI has tried in last year with a model which is designed to play Minecraft and even perform some pretty complex tasks by showing the AI 70,000 hours worth of gaming footage.

This puts Microsoft in a prime position to introduce a true AI-based game element in any of its franchises, although Sony may have beaten them to the punch with the introduction of its GT Sophy in Gran Turismo 7, a virtual driver trained entirely through AI.

Pokdepinion: Not everyone may appreciate this feature though, since it basically took away the process of playing the game which some people appreciate.
