Riot Games To Launch New Riot Client, Its Own Game Launcher
Riot Games has just announced that they will be launching their own game launcher soon called Riot Client. Riot’s new launcher is meant to consolidate all their games into a single launcher for easier access.
Riot Client coming soon
Up until now, Riot Games have been using different clients for each of their games which can be quite a chore to access considering the number of games the company has out right now. With the new launcher, it’ll make it a lot easier and more convenient for players to access each game. Riot says that the new client will have dedicated pages for each of their games including League of Legends and VALORANT. These pages will show content that is specific to each game such as cinematic trailers, news as well as game event previews.
The new Riot Client has begun rolling out on September 20th in a limited capacity with a tentative global rollout on October 4th. Though Riot says this global rollout date might change should the developers decide that they need more time fine-tuning the launcher.
Pokdepinion: I hope they figure out a better name than Riot Client because the name sounds hella janky yo.
