Riot Games previously launched two-factor authentication (2FA) earlier this past January 2022 in an effort to improve security. It’s certainly a big step up from their previous security measure, and to encourage more people to use it, they are offering in-game rewards for users who make use of the feature.
As for the exact rewards, we’ve listed it right below here:
- League of Legends: Taliyah ‘Very Cool’ emote
- Legends of Runeterra: Rare Prismatic Chest
- Teamfight Tactics: Little Legend Egg
- VALORANT: ‘Keep it Safer’ Gun Buddy
In case you don’t know how 2FA works, players will be given a six digit ccode sent to their email or smartphone after attempting to login. You can only login for real after keying in this code. There’s even an option to require 2FA once every 30 days. This should give some peace of mind to gamers who spend money on in-game cosmetics, especially with popular games like League of Legends and Valorant where hackers and scammers are always on the prowl.

Pokdepinion: It’s a small, simple gesture, but it can go a long way in improving the security for every player. Anyone who chooses not to use it and finds their account compromised, that’s on them.
