Steam’s Year In Review Recaps Your 2023 In PC Gaming
Now that we’re at the tail end of 2023, PC gamers can look back at the year with Steam’s Year In Review microsite. As usual, Steam summarizes your year in various metrics, including the games you played, achievements unlocked, account activity, and more. You can also share this on your preferred social media with the menu on the top of the page.
The infographic starts with the total number of games you played, how many achievements you unlocked, and the longest streak of consecutive days of gaming. It also lists the top three games you played this year by playtime and sessions, comparing the metrics against the median figure of all Steam users.
Further down the section, you’ll find a pie chart indicating if you’re the trailblazer-type of gamer, who plays the latest titles released this year. This is presented as the percentage of games that are new releases, and Steam says this figure is 9% on average. You’ll also find detailed summary of the games you played this year, including the session data and achievements unlocked.
At the bottom of the page, you can also revisit the Year 2022 to compare your activity to the year before, and Steam has conveniently provided an FAQ section below, explaining the metrics and how it is calculated. The company says these metrics are recorded starting from January 1, 2023 and concluded on December 14, 2023 12AM GMT (8AM MYT), hence any activity beyond this date is not counted in this review.
