Weyrdlets, a virtual game by local game studio Weyrdworks, is launching a new update in time with Merdeka Day. The new update will introduce new items inspired by the culture of Malaysia, which will soon turn 67 on 31st August.
New Weyrdlets Update

Some of the new items to don your virtual pets with include hibiscus flower (Malaysia’s national flower), Tanjak (a kind of headgear worn by Malays), and the living space can now be decorated with animated Jalur Gemilang flag, Tiffin carriers, red plastic stools, and a full rattan furniture set. Additionally, new wallpapers and flooring options, which feature local cultural elements, are also available.

In case you missed it, Weyrdlets was released on Steam just last month, and is currently free to play for all players. Think of it as Tamagotchi that lives inside your PC, and you can put the pets directly onto your Windows desktop as well. That being said, it’s still a full-fledged game when the pet is not sitting at a corner of your screen while you work, which means you will need a decently powerful PC to start with (recommended specs asks for an RTX 3060 GPU).
