The folks over at Studio MDHR recently tweeted that they will be delaying the launch of The Delicious Last Course DLC expansion for Cuphead to 2021. It’s said that they had to do so as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the studio, The Delicious Last Course DLC is supposed to be just as good as the main game itself, which resulted in “meeting this standard has been extremely challenging”. This is most likely made worse due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such, Studio MDHR has no choice but to delay the release so they can work on it some more and make sure the quality is up to par.
Initially revealed at E3 2018, the Delicious Last Course DLC expansion for Cuphead was expected to have a number of new levels, challenges, and boss fights. Not to mention, there is a brand new, female playable character, Ms. Chalice, aside from the titular character and Mugman. Narrative-wise, it’s expected to serve as the proper conclusion to the story that started at the Devil’s Casino.
For now, Cuphead is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac.
