Some PS Plus Subscribers Are Getting Free Money from Sony – You Might Be One of Them

In a rather big surprise, Sony Interactive Entertainment appears to be giving some PS Plus subscribers free money. To be precise, USD $10 worth of PS Store credit, and you might just be one of them.

Free Money for Some PS Plus Subscribers

The giveaway is done as part of the PS Plus 10th anniversary celebration. The service was officially launched on 29th June 2010 for the PlayStation 3. Interestingly, online multiplayer was free and did not require the subscription at that generation.

To celebrate the occasion, Sony Interactive Entertainment is releasing a commemorative theme and had an extra free game to give out for July 2020. Now, the free games lineup will consists of NBA 2K20, Tomb Raider: 20 year Celebration, and Erica.

With that being said, some PS Plus subscribers are also getting USD $10 worth in PS Store credit on top of all the specials. It appears that those in the UK get £10 whereas Canadian subscribers get CA$15. This indicates that it might be happening to lucky, random subscribers and isn’t restricted to just one region.

Just keep in mind that not every PS Plus subscriber will get the free money however. We have no idea as to how the PlayStation Team is selecting the recipients of the store credit giveaway. It might just be completely randomized.
