Discord is one of the top communication service for gamers today and if you’re a PlayStation gamer, well there’s some great news. It seems that Sony has confirmed that the platform will be coming soon to the PlayStation Network.

Discord arriving on PlayStation Network

Discord on PSThe news was revealed at Sony’s blogpost by Jim Ryan, the company’s President as well as CEO. With more than 140 million people using the platform around the globe, it’s not surprising to see that they’ve opted to implement it (Discord) to their network soon.

Here’s what he had to say about the matter:

Together, our team are already hard at work connecting Discord with your social and gaming experiences on PlayStation Network. Our goal is to bring the Discord and PlayStation experiences closer together on console and mobile starting early next year, allowing friends, groups, and communities to hang out, have fun, and communicate more easily while playing games together.

They’ve mentioned that they will have more to share in the coming months. There’s no confirmation on whether the feature will arrive only for PS5 or for last gen consoles as well as of now. Until then, you can stay tuned to for the latest tech and gaming news plus reviews.

Pokdepinion: I’ve been telling my PlayStation friends on how nice it would be if Discord was available on PS. The most recent update to the party chat system doesn’t seem user-friendly enough. We’d have to wait a little longer however as it’ll be available starting early of next year in 2022.
