HoYo FEST 2024, the annual festival of various games developed by HoYoverse, concluded this past weekend, drawing tens of thousands of fans across Southeast Asia. Held in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, this year marked the fourth consecutive event in the region. For Malaysia, the event was held in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
HoYo FEST 2024 Wraps Up
Fans participated in a range of activities, including themed booths featuring HoYoverse games, on-stage competitions, and opportunities to purchase official merchandise; attendees also received exclusive HoYoverse giveaways and watched the live stream of the Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Special Program Preview. The event was further enhanced by fans in cosplay as their favorite HoYoverse characters.
For the first time, HoYo FEST in Indonesia and Vietnam featured the Artist Alley, where local artists showcased and sold fan-made creations through the event. In Jakarta, 19 artists participated, while in Ho Chi Minh City, 26 artists and content creator groups offered items such as pins, keychains, and drawings inspired by the developer’s gaming universe.
“HoYoverse expressed its support for local creatives in Indonesia and Vietnam through the Artist Alley. The company emphasized the importance of community engagement and its commitment to fostering local creative talent within the Animation, Comics, and Games sectors,” the company stated in its press release.
As HoYo FEST 2024 concludes, fans in Southeast Asia can anticipate upcoming HoYoverse events in the region, including the Genshin Concert Tour and a collaboration with S.E.A. Aquarium in Singapore scheduled for September this year.
