On the occasion of Capcom announcing the open beta for its upcoming Monster Hunter title, Monster Hunter Wilds, Sony has announced a special edition DualSense controller appropriately themed for the game.

Officially the PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller – Monster Hunter Wilds Limited Edition, this special release comes with a unique artwork on the Volcanic Red base paint, though under the hood it’s still the same DualSense controller that every PlayStation 5 gamer has been familiar with.
Want one? There are two caveats: one, you’ll be paying RM419 – exactly RM70 more than the vanilla model; and two, you’ll still be four months away from getting your hands on one of these even if you really want it right at this minute. Specifically, the controller will be launched on the same day as the game itself, or February 28, 2025, in other words.
Pre-orders for the controller will open on November 22, 2024, so in the meantime, you can prepare yourself for the open beta test coming up this weekend.
Pokdepinion: Quite the markup, but fans of the series likely want one.
