PS Plus Premium Users Get God of War Ragnarok Trial Access for 3 Hours
For those of you who have yet to play God of War Ragnarok, you can enjoy the first 3 hours for free if you’re a PS Plus Premium subscriber.
God of War Ragnarok Trial for PS Plus Premium
The PlayStation Store’s official page for God of War Ragnarok has been updated to include a new trial option, which allows PlayStation Plus Premium members to play the full game for up to three hours for free. If players choose to purchase the game after the PS Plus Premium trial, they can carry over their progress. Released in 2022, God of War Ragnarok was highly praised as an exclusive title for PlayStation.
It joins other PlayStation first-party games, such as The Last of Us Part 1 Remake, Horizon Forbidden West, MLB The Show 22, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, in offering a trial option. It’s worth noting that game trials are exclusively available to PS Plus Premium members, but players can upgrade their subscription to Premium at any time by paying the difference in fees. In addition to game trials, a Premium subscription offers access to legacy titles from older PlayStation consoles.
God of War Ragnarok was a major success in 2022, and while it marked the end of the Norse mythology era for the series, it doesn’t necessarily mean the franchise is over. Game director Eric Williams clarified in a post-launch interview that it’s unlikely Santa Monica Studios will release a post-launch expansion for God of War Ragnarok. However, there is still potential for the game to expand its financial success with a future launch on PC, similar to its predecessor.
Although the game has been out for three months, God of War Ragnarok has yet to receive a discount. If you’re unsure about purchasing the game or are new to the series, the new trial option could help you decide whether to buy it. The next move for Santa Monica Studios is currently unknown. There were earlier rumors that Cory Barlog, the game director behind God of War (2018), was leading a new fantasy-themed IP in the studio, but it may take some time before any clear announcements are made about the studio’s next project.
Pokdepinion: The PS Plus Premium exclusive trials are a good way to get people interested in the game. 3 hours in would definitely make it easier for people to buy but for those who chose not to, at least they can be sure that missing out on it is fine.
