Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a sci-fi action game developed by Saber Interactive, will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox on September 9, 2024. The game, currently available for pre-order, will follow the story of Lieutenant Titus, a key figure in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Below is the launch trailer:
The Story Of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine So Far
So, to recap the storyline – Lieutenant Titus, the main character, was born on the Agri-World of Tarentus in Ultramar. He was recruited into the Ultramarines chapter and has served the Imperium for over 150 years.
In the first Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine game, Titus and a company of Ultramarines were dispatched to the Forge World of Graia to counter an Ork invasion. However, the situation escalated when the imperial weapon, the Psychic Scourge, triggered a Chaos invasion led by Nemeroth – Titus ultimately defeated Nemeroth and destroyed the Power Source to prevent it from falling into enemy hands.
Titus’ resistance to the corrupting influence of Chaos raised concerns within the Inquisition, leading to his detention for further investigation. After decades of interrogation, Titus’ loyalty remained unquestioned, and he later served in the Deathwatch. Reunited with the Ultramarines, Titus has been reinstated as a Lieutenant. What follows next will be up to the players to discover when the game launches.
The game will be available in two editions: the Standard Edition and the Gold Edition. The Standard Edition includes the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 game and the MACRAGGE’S CHOSEN DLC. The Gold Edition offers early access starting on September 5, 2024, along with exclusive Steelbook artwork, the MACRAGGE’S CHOSEN DLC, a season pass, and the game itself.
