Apex Legends is now one of the hottest battle royale titles around, with almost everyone around me playing it. While I don’t particularly fancy the battle royale genre, Apex Legends is a game that apparently has pretty high replay value, even for gamers who have gotten more than their fair share of wins. One of the reasons behind that are the beautiful skins which are driving gamers to keep playing to score them. If you are one of them, here are some tips for you.

Just buy them

Just like any game with RNG, the developers will offer you a way to just take the easy way out and spend money to buy them. With Apex Legends, it’s Apex Coins, the in-game currency you can use to buy Apex Packs to try your luck, or just buy the skins outright. If you try the former method, you stand a 1/13 chance to get a Legendary item. That’s a pretty good chance, and with the “pity timer”, you are guaranteed to get a Legendary item after 30 Apex Packs.

There’s even a bonus to getting Apex Packs. The consolation Crafting Metals you get with Apex Packs which can be used to craft skins, even Legendary ones. Each Legendary skin costs 1200 Crafting Metals. There’s a chance of an Apex Pack to drop up to 600 Crafting Metals at once, so good luck!

What’s above Legendary?

Legendary is too common for you? Well, try farming for Heirloom then. It is only procurable from Apex Packs, and there’s no other way to get it. With only one item in the tier, Wraith’s Heirloom set, the chance of it actually dropping is less than 1%. Some are calling it the $500 set, with a guaranteed drop at 500 packs thanks to a pity timer mechanism. The rarity of Wraith’s Heirloom set makes it all the more desirable, and there’s a pretty huge bounty for those who want to sell their accounts which have the set unlocked.

Currently, only Wraith is the only legends to sport a Heirloom set, but other legends are to follow. Some other limited edition event skins like the Epic Master of the Hunt for Bloodhound will even further drive up the value of your Apex Legends accounts, in addition to marking you as a veteran Apex Legends player. The skin was only awarded to the top 5 players for five rounds in a row, further emphasizing its exclusivity. More limited edition skins can be expected to further spur interest, so keep playing.

Apex Legends might be a fun game, but it is even better when you have the Legendary skins for your favorite legend. Keep grinding and you will get all the skins you want, sooner or later! Sooner if you are willing to spend. :-P
