AMD Radeon Navi cards to see price slash before official launch?
While price slashing after a product is launched is nothing new, it seems like AMD will be slashing the prices of their AMD Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards before they even hit the market. That’s quite unexpected, although with how the GeForce RTX SUPER cards are looking, it’s probably the only move AMD has.

According to VideoCardz, the AMD will be slashing $50 (~RM207) off their Radeon RX 5700 series of cards, causing the whole lineup to start from as low as $349. This is to ensure that the Radeon RX 5700 will still seem like a viable alternative to the GeForce RTX 2060, while the Radeon RX 5700 XT will look like a reasonable step down from the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER. Here are the prices:
- AMD Radeon RX 5700: $349 (~RM1443)
- AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT: $399 (~RM1650)
- AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition: $449 (~RM1856)
Now when positioned directly against the GeForce RTX 2060, the Radeon RX 5700 does stand a chance. The Radeon RX 5700 XT will be an affordable option for gamers who want GeForce RTX 2070 performance levels without paying nearly as much.
How will this affect AMD’s bottomline remains to be seen, but it is clear that AMD intends to fight NVIDIA with everything they have. Let’s see the results when the benchmarks finally roll out on 7th July.
