AMD Ryzen Threadripper packaging shown off; most magnificent CPU packaging in years?

CPU packaging are usually rather boring, just square boxes with some graphics to help you differentiate the models. In fact if I were to toss any of my hardware boxes away, the first to go would be the CPU’s packaging. But in the Ryzen Threadripper’s case, the decision may be a lot more difficult.

We have known the performance, the price and also availability of the Ryzen Threadripper, and now we know that it will come in really fancy packaging. Can AMD add any more to the AMD Ryzen Threadripper hype? Well, let’s wait till August to find out.

Pokdepinion: AMD is definitely going all out to attract more buyers. Hopefully Intel takes a page out of the red team’s book and give us packaging worthy of holding the $1999 i9 7980XE, and not just standard old cardboard boxes.
