It seems that Respawn Entertainment, the makers of Apex Legends, has revealed the amount of hackers that has been banned on PC since the game was launch earlier in the year and it’s a substantial amount of players.

Players of the game on PC are bound to meet cheaters/hackers at some point of their game time (yeah, they are that common). Respawn has been working hard in getting rid of them and now it looks like the number of banned players has reached staggering figures according to them.

The company has said that they’ve now banned 770,000 players overall and also blocked over 300,000 accounts from being made. These blocked accounts are most likely cheaters who got banned in the first place and tried to create a new account to gain access to the game. Additionally, they’ve banned over 4,000 cheat seller accounts in the last 20 days. Thanks to all of their efforts, it seems like total affected matches on PC impacted by cheaters or spammers has been reduced by over half in the last month.

Previously, they’ve introduced a new way to cope with these cheaters by implementing hardware bans.

Respawn has said that there will be a new update coming where it will fix the missing footsteps audio issue.

Pokdepinion: It’s nice to see how they are being clear and straightforward with the whole issue and they are trying their hardest in making the game enjoyable for everyone (except for the hackers of course).
