[CES2019] ASUS ZenBook S13 with the World’s Thinnest Display Bezels

ASUS ZenBook S13 with the World's Thinnest Display Bezels

There is another ZenBook offering besides the UX431 that was unveiled at CES 2019, and that is none other than the ASUS ZenBook S13 UX392 laptop. It boasts the world’s thinnest display bezels on a laptop.

The ZenBook S13 UX392 is said to deliver performance and portability into an “impossibly” small chassis. It has a 13.9-inch Full HD “Frameless” NanoEdge display with mere 2.5mm bezels and a 97% screen-to-body ratio. It is available in either Intel Core i5-8265U or the beefier Intel Core i7-8565U, and also has the GeForce MX150 dGPU.

On the memory side of things, it can have up to 16GBs of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe x4 SSD storage. The 50Wh battery is said to be capable of up to 15 hours of battery life, though we would like to test these claim when we get a hold of this machine ourselves.

It manages to fill all of that in a very small body. To be precise, it is only 12.9mm thin, and weighs in at approximately 1.1kg. To ensure no space was wasted, the metal chassis is CNC-milled from a block of aluminum, allowing the lid to be carved out, complete with the complex cuts surrounding the keyboard, without creating any unnecessary voids.

If you’re worried that such a laptop may not be durable enough, the ASUS ZenBook S13 UX392 MIL-STD-810G military standard-compliant. This makes it durable, having being tested in harsh environments including extreme altitudes, humidity, and temperature.

Pokdepinion: This actually looks like a very interesting machine. Would definitely like to see how this baby performs. CES 2019 is going pretty good.
