[CES2019] The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the stuff of wet dreams
The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is nothing new by now. A liquid-cooled one? Well, cool, but not exactly unheard of. What about one that sports a full liquid cooling loop in the footprint of your standard graphics card? Now that’s something to talk about!
ASUS has clearly pulled out all the stops to impress everyone at CES 2019. The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti packs pump, tubing and radiator under the beefy shroud. This innovative cooling solution is called the Infinity Loop Cooling, and the heat is all dissipated by the new Axial-Tech fans found on the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and GeForce RTX 2080 cards.
That’s not all that the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti shares with the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti though. The two cards actually shares the same PCB. The difference? They are binned to select only the highest clocking ones which will go on to live their lives as the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. Binning allowed ASUS to clock it at much higher speeds than the ROG Strix variant.

Now one thing to note is that the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti actually boosts up to 1860 MHz during normal gaming, so it would be quite interesting to see how far can the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti go.
One thing that we do know is that the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti won’t be cheap. The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti already costs RM6599, so you do the maths.
Pokdepinion: Not only is it the stuff of wet dreams, it’s actually wet. As in it is liquid-cooled.
