[Computex 2019] Lenovo Partners With Qualcomm In Unveiling Project Limitless — World’s First 5G Laptop
Demoed at Computex 2019 in Taiwan, Lenovo and Qualcomm has partnered up in creating the world’s first 5G laptop called Project Limitless. The partnership and new Snapdragon 8cx 5G will open the door to transformative user experiences for both consumer and enterprise.
The laptop, which comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem is able to connect to super-fast 5G network. Seeing how the transition from 3G to 4G has been progressive for smartphones, Lenovo sees the potential in 5G by enabling smarter, modern computing through the promise of faster, always-connected PCs, and more immersive connectivity, and sharing.
With the Snapdragon 8cx, it supports immersive user experiences and will meet the needs of highly mobile users with multi-gigabit data speeds, better battery life, and more in thin form factors, including laptops. With Project Limitless, mobile multi-taskers and digital natives will enjoy the mobility of a smartphone without a WiFi connection or a hotspot when their connection is mighty fast.
Project Limitless is said to be coming in as early as 2020.
Pokdepinion: Heading to the right direction I guess. Though it’ll be quite some time until we see 5G connection being available here in Malaysia.
