Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Gets New Game Mode; Open Beta Announced
Over at a Jump Festa livestream in Japan, Square Enix showed off the new Core Battle Mode for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Open beta has been announced.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Gets New Game Mode
During a live show hosted at Jump Festa, which took place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Tokyo. Square Enix had quite a bit to share on their upcoming fighting game, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. It appears that the game will be having a new game mode called the Core Battle Mode.
A live demonstration was made and among the 6 players, Director Takeo Kujiraoka and Producer Ichiro Hazama took part in the battles. There were about 2 matches that took place, and both of them showed the new Core Battle Mode.
From what has been understood, the new Core Battle Mode in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT pits 2 teams against each other, with the objective here being to destroy the opposing team’s “core” while also protecting the team’s own one. It’s something new for the series and it gives players some variety on gameplay.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Open Beta
Also announced during the show at Jump Festa in Makuhari Messe, there will be 3 different open beta sessions for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. This came straight from Game Director Takeo Kujiraoka and Producer Ichiro Hazama.
The 3 different open beta sessions will be happening on:
- December 23rd – December 24th 2017
- December 30th – December 31st 2017
- January 6th – January 7th 2018
For all three sessions, the beta will be open from 6PM to 11PM Japan Time. For those in Malaysia and in the GMT +8 timezone, that will be 5PM to 10PM. At this time, the open beta sessions are only open to those in Japan but you can take part in it regardless of where you are if you have Japan PSN account.
The open beta will have Class Match, Rush Battle, Customization, Story Mode, and Treasures. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 on January 30th 2018.
