Over at Innofest Asia, the folks over at LG has showcased their new OLED TV offerings for 2019. It includes four different models, including one which is the world’s first 8K OLED TV and is part of their premium lineup.

The new LG OLED TV range comes in a number of different models of varying sizes; W9 (model 77/65W9), E9 (model 65/55E9), C9 (model 77/65/55C9) and B9 (model 65/55B9). The 8K OLED TV is given the Z9 model number. All of these TVs will be powered by the new second generation α9 Gen 2 processor, which is said to improve visual and sound quality with deep-learning algorithms. It even has support for the Dolby Vision HDR experience.

It will automatically optimize it to give consumers the best viewing experience possible. What’s interesting hear is that LG claims that it’s capable of converting stereo sound into a realistic 5.1 surround sound experience. If you want a more immersive experience, the premium OLED TV models will have support for Dolby Atmos.

To make things more interesting, the OLED TVs will have support Amazon Alexa which will complement the built-in Google Assistant. This will make the Smart TV experience even smarter than before. For the Apple aficionados, all of them will also have support for Apple AirPlay 2 and the Apple Homekit. This will allow consumers to use iTunes as well as control the TV using their Apple devices. Both Amazon Alexa and the Apple software will be available via a software update for the TV.

The Z9 8K OLED TV model will have HDMI 2.1 with a transfer rate of 48Gbps. This effectively allows you to view 8K content at up to 60 FPS, and even 4K content at up to 120 FPS. Certain models will offer 4K high frame rate (4K HFR), automatic low latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR) and enhanced audio return channel (eARC).

We expect to learn more about these TVs, along with the NanoCell models, in the near future.

Pokdepinion: All I can think about right now is how amazing it will be to game and to watch Netflix on those TVs.
