GALAX Gamer L S11 SSD now available in Malaysia; up to 540 MB/s speeds!
GALAX Malaysia has just announced the availability of the Gamer L S11 SSDs here in Malaysia, with affordable prices ranging from RM249 for the 120GB variant and RM389 for the 240GB capacity. The new SSDs tout speeds of up to 540MB/s read and 500MB/s write based on the Phison PS3111-S11 controller and Micron TLC 3D NAND flash rated for more than 400TB of writes.
The SSDs differ in capacity and also performance, with the 240GB SSD naturally outpacing the 120GB variant slightly. The 240GB promises higher 4K random performance at 65000 IOPS read and 50000 IOPS write, while the 120GB comes in at 55000 IOPS read and 24000 IOPS write.
Both SSDs feature important functions like SMART monitoring and TRIM commands to ensure long-term reliability of the drives. The Phison PS3111 controller applies Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) of ECC. Power management is enabled with the Gamer L S11 SSDs to allow for a lower system power consumption. Overall, the GALAX Gamer L S11 SSDs packs all the necessary features to deliver the performance gamers need, without charging an arm and a leg for it.
