Overall
5/10In case you are wondering, Gameview Money (GVM) is a blockchain gaming platform and has been established since 2012. Today it officially announced the launch of GV Esports in line with the recent invitation for Esports industry players’ support by Y.B. Syed Saddiq.
GVM has hence decided to address the call and GV Esports, their new establishment is dedicated to invest a sum of RM10mil in Esports from now to 2019 and would even consider investing more if deemed beneficial.
With that, GVM has appointed Frank Andreas Sliwka as the Chief Operating Officer and Board of Director of ESL as the advisor of GVM. GVM believes that with this move, the company will be able to produce and deliver premium Esports be it tournament, event or content.
As a kickstart, GV Esports is privileged to sponsor the upcoming The KL Major and in the future, will allocate even more funds to sponsor more DOTA2 Majors. The company will be working closely with eGG Network and international tournament organisers like PGL.
GV Esports plans to venture into tournaments and leagues both locally and globally, Esports production capabilities and even professional Esports team ownership.
Pokdepinion: Honestly, looking at GVM’s establishment, I strongly believe that they have what it takes to drive Esports in Malaysia. With their involvement in KL Major, we shall find out more moving forward.
