GIGABYTE caters to Malaysian gamers and creators with AORUS and AERO laptops
GIGABYTE is finally here in Malaysia in full force with their notebook lineup. They are introducing both the creator-oriented GIGABYTE AERO laptops as well as the AORUS series of gaming laptops. GIGABYTE is proud to boast of All-Intel Inside configurations, from the processor down to the WiFi adapter.
GIGABYTE AERO 15
For starters, let’s take a look at the AERO 15 Classic models. The AERO 15 Classic can be configured with either regular 144 Hz IPS panels, 240 Hz IGZO panels as well as 4K 100% Adobe RGB displays. GIGABYTE also shared that unlike laptops that carry the “PANTONE Validated” badge, AERO laptops carry the X-Rite PANTONE Color Calibration Certification, which means each and every GIGABYTE AERO laptop’s display comes factory calibrated.
In addition to featuring PANTONE’s blessing, the GIGABYTE AERO 15 Classic laptops powered by GeForce RTX GPUs are also NVIDIA Studio Ready, meaning they are certified to support the creative apps that content creators rely on. Overall, the GeForce RTX 2070 and GeForce RTX 2060 models are priced pretty reasonably, while the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is a bit on the pricier side of things. I guess opting for premium hardware and also factory calibrated displays does put quite a big toll on pricing? Meanwhile, for those who are waiting for the GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED, they are only going to bring that in August.
GIGABYTE AORUS 15, AORUS 5 and AORUS 7
Today’s highlighted gaming laptop was the GIGABYTE AORUS 15, but they are also bringing in the AORUS 5 and AORUS 7 just to fully flesh out their gaming laptop lineup. The former is introduced as the best performance laptop under 1″ thick, with 3DMark scores well above the competition. This is enabled by implementing the WINDFORCE Technology, a technology borrowed from their AORUS graphics cards.
The AORUS 15 can be configured with a 240 Hz display, while the AORUS 5 and AORUS 7 top out at 144 Hz. GIGABYTE’s All-Intel Inside configurations also extends to the AORUS lineup, with all of the AORUS laptops sporting Intel’s processors, M.2 PCIe storage and WiFi adapters.
Here are the AORUS 15’s configurations:

There are no GeForce RTX options for the AORUS 5 and AORUS 7, given the lower price point. The AORUS 5 is probably one of the best options if you want a portable gaming laptop without having to shell out more than RM5000.
What do you think? Which of the new GIGABYTE laptops entice you the most?
