Here’s A Rugged Smartphone That You Can Charge Underwater

Doogee, a smartphone brand hailing from China, has introduced a new device that’s called the Doogee S90. It’s not just any other smartphone, it’s a smartphone that’s able to charge underwater.

Appearing on Twitter, several videos showcased on how the phone managed to charge underwater and also sustain high water pressure, even when parts are dissembled. The S90 features Nano Coating technology, which is most likely to be applied to the company’s upcoming devices. Thanks to the feature as well, it allows the phone to be water resistant, scratch resistant, molds and bacteria resistant as well as offers a hard build. Not forgetting, it comes with an IP68 rating.

As for specifications, the Doogee S90 comes with a Helio P60 chipset that comes with 6GB RAM that’s paired up with 128GB of internal storage. In terms of battery, a 5050mAh battery is available. Camera wise, it comes with a 8MP selfie shooter and a 16MP lens at the back. It uses a USB Type-C port and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box. A 6.18-inch IPS display is also on hand.

It seems that Doogee is selling the S90 starting from $299.99 (~RM1249), where you can add in another $100 to get the bundle set that comes with a power module, a night vision camera, and an outdoor box.
