HUAWEI P30 and P30 Pro officially introduced in Malaysia

The much-anticipated HUAWEI P30 Pro is finally launched in Malaysia. The HUAWEI P30 and HUAWEI P30 Pro will start selling this 6th April with pricing starting from RM2699. The HUAWEI P30 and HUAWEI P30 Pro both come with ground breaking features, with an emphasis on its camera features.

The HUAWEI P30 series both feature a 40MP camera, with the latest HUAWEI SuperSpectrum Sensor. Instead of the usual RGGB Bayer filter, it features a RYYB filter. This design allows HUAWEI to intake up to 40% more light to deliver better low light performance. In addition to impressive light intake the HUAWEI P30 Pro is also equipped with a fast f/1.6 aperture and a maximum ISO of 409600.

The HUAWEI P30’s latest zoom camera touts an 3x telephoto lens, while the HUAWEI P30 Pro comes with periscopic 5x telephoto optics. With the HUAWEI P30 Pro, HUAWEI enabled 50x zoom with their software magic. There’s also an ultrawide angle when you want to take in more of the environment on both the HUAWEI P30 and HUAWEI P30 Pro. Or you can take advantage of the autofocus on the ultrawide camera of the HUAWEI P30 series to take ridiculously close macro shots from a mere 2.5cm away. The HUAWEI P30 Pro additionally throws in an additional 3D ToF sensor for more accurate software bokeh.

In addition to the hardware, the HUAWEI P30 and HUAWEI P30 Pro comes with amazing software features. All of it is powered by the Kirin 980 which features Dual ISPs and Dual NPUs which enable the advanced AI HDR+ mode that promises unprecedented dynamic range even in backlit conditions.

The HUAWEI P30 Pro is also IP68-rated so you can bring it to new places to take great shots there. Meanwhile the lower end HUAWEI P30 comes with a lesser IP53 rating which should allow it to survive some splashes too.

The HUAWEI P30 and HUAWEI P30 Pro will be available in Black, Aurora and Breathing Crystal for all variants except the HUAWEI P30 Pro which will only be available in Aurora starting this 6th April.
