HUAWEI Wireless Quick Charging technology hacked!

HUAWEI’s 15W wireless quick charging on the latest HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro is pretty cool, but they have yet to license the technology to third party manufacturers. However this engineer has already successful designed a workaround to enable faster wireless charging on the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro.

The jerry-rigged (unrelated to Zack) contraption appears to be capable of being recognized by the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro as it apparently fast charging wirelessly, as shown by the shot of the device.

The 15W wireless quick charging technology took charging experts just a week to crack. While HUAWEI probably does not want to share its technology with third party accessory manufacturers to ensure safety and 100% compatibility, but prices of official accessories are usually more expensive than what third party accessory manufacturers can produce.

What do you think? Should HUAWEI hurry up and start licensing their wireless quick charging technology to third party manufacturers, or should they remain the sole maker of official wireless fast charging technologies?
