Red iPhone 7 and 7 Plus now available, contribute towards the fight against AIDS
If you were always hoping Apple released a crimson version of their iPhone, they have finally introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition. What’s even better than the bright red finishing is that with every purchase, you will be contributing to the Global Fund, bringing the world a step closer to the eradication of AIDS.
The red iPhones will feature white bezels to complement the vibrant red anodized aluminium finish on its back. The smartphones join the existing (PRODUCT)RED lineup from Apple, including red Beats audio equipment, red iPods and also red cases for their smart devices.
The iPhone (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition smartphones commemorates more than 10 years of partnership between Apple and (RED), during which Apple and their customers have aided in the fight against AIDS. Apple has donated more than $130 million, being the largest corporate donor to the Global Fund.
The (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition iPhones will be available in 128GB and 256GB capacities only. The iPhone 7 in red will go for RM3699 and RM4199 for the 128GB and 256GB variants respectively, while the larger iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition will cost RM4299 for the 128GB variant, with the 256GB version priced at RM4799. The device will be available for purchase on 24th March, but will ship at a later date.
Pokdepinion: I can’t see a better reason to get a red smartphone. I already like the color red, and the fact that I am contributing to a good cause makes me feel fuzzy inside. Apple is also not charging extra for these special edition iPhones, which is nice to see.
