Kaspersky Lab Officially Opens First Transparency Center

Starting from today, malicious and suspicious files shared by Kaspersky Lab product users in Europe will be processed in data centers in Zurich, which has been finally opened.

Threat-related data coming from European users will start to be processed in two datacenters. Both are compliant with industry standards to ensure the highest levels of security.

The data, which users actively chosen to share with the company, includes suspicious or previously unknown malicious files and corresponding meta-data that the company’s products send to Kaspersky Security Network or KSN for automated malware analysis.

In addition to that, the company has also opened their first Transparency Center in Zurich, Switzerland, enabling authorized partners to access reviews of the company’s code, software updates, and threat detection rules.

These two developments will be followed by the relocation of data processing for other regions and in phase two, the move to Zurich of software assembly.

Pokdepinion: Well since they are being transparent towards their users, I have no problem for that. Of course consumers would want to know what is going on, especially with the threats that’s happening in today’s world of technology.
